As the days get warmer, thoughts convert to summer BBQs and delicious, refreshing seafood. And exactly what much better way to celebrate this than using a list of squid-based dishes?

First of all, there's tempura squid. Traditionally, tempura is a Japanese type of deep-frying, although it can in addition be required for a batter. In this menu, the squid is definitely dipped in the batter, then deep-fried.

If you're searching for something some sort of little more heart-warming, try simmered squid. Squid is a favourite seafood between vegetarians and vegans, because it's reduced in oil and contains a good volume of protein. With this  recipe , the squid is simmered in a broth with taters and other ingredients until it's grilled through.

If if you're in the feelings for something a bit more spicy, try squid ragu. Squid ragu is a sort of sauce produced from minced squid and red wine beverage. It's a great choice if you need something hearty and flavoursome.

When you're within the feelings for something some sort of little lighter, try out squid, prawn plus chickpea nduja stew. This dish is made from cooked chickpeas, prawns and squid, which is served over spaghetti.

If you're looking for something using a little additional flavour, try squid with brandy and cream. This plate is created by preparing food squid in eau-de-vie until it's grilled through. The squid can then be served with a cream sauce.

And finally, if you're looking for something with a little more recession, try crispy squid with caponata. This specific dish is produced by coating squid in a combination of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese plus egg, then frying it until it's crispy. It's dished up with a mixture of caponata and tomato spices.
